Art Classes at the Saatchi Gallery
This course is an invitation to explore and experiment with colour, form and texture, through mark making using acrylic paint and other materials. The aim of these six sessions is self development, by giving students a mindful and experimental approach to making art. Open to adult beginners and professional artists, these two-hourly sessions are held at the Saatchi Art Gallery Education Room, and will include a mix of general knowledge building in contemporary art, “opening up” exercises, as well as mark making, painting and collage. The aim is to develop a highly personal language of self expression on canvas or paper and to share with other pupils one's ideas and receive feedback. Classes are led by visual artist and curator Asmaa Alanbari.
